Fractality is an EP that I made using the Fractal Beat MIDI synth. I created this synth to produce fractal time series and melodies that mimic natural dynamics and flow. I really appreciate the organic and aleatory feel of such music scores because, at the same time, they are based on a very specific principle, which expresses itself at every scale. I think there’s something truly universal about this approach, and it’s also a lot of fun to play music by following a principle rather than a specific, linear score—so that every track is unique, yet still feels connected.
