On the 25th of July at 19.30 I’ll be hosting a presentation of my new book, Waves into Patterns, published by Circadian Press, at Galerie Molitor in Berlin.
In this new book, I talk about different types of change, ecological dynamics, and variability. During the presentation, I will discuss some ideas from the book and invite you for a short physical practice session where we will explore the concepts from this book using the body, breathing, and movement.
This work continues my research in the EightOS practice, so it can be considered a further development of the concepts we’ve explored during our interactive sessions. This time, however, we adopt the perspectives of dynamical systems theory and ecology, exploring how notions such as adaptability, resilience, fractal reconfiguration, and disruption can be applied in other contexts: from social interactions and music to breathing and movement.
The event is organized by the wonderful Hopscotch Reading Room bookstore in Berlin (which is just a few minutes away from the gallery), so you can also use it as an opportunity to explore their amazing selection of books.
There will also be a presentation by Anton Kats, who will talk about his book Flying Without Means, also published by Circadian, where he demonstrates how 100 burpees a day can become a regular meditation practice for self-exploration and transcendence.
The event begins at 19.30. Each presentation is about 20 minutes long.
The address is Kurfürstenstrasse 143, 10785, Berlin (the entrance is from Frobenstrasse).
