The Waiting Room @ Agora | 06/2016

The Waiting Room is a project where the participants are invited to have one-on-one experiences with the hosts. Each host has a room where they create a certain setup, be it through a conversational practice or a live performance, that is supposed to invite the guest to their practice.

For this edition of The Waiting Room hosted at Agora in Berlin (during their Affect festival) organized together with Diego Agullo, we did an experiment together with Felix Ott where one of the rooms was a place for a cranio-sacral therapy session. It was especially interesting both for us and the guests to propose this experience in the context of an art event. It was not only breaking the expectations of what you might find behind the door, but also offering a different kind of interaction modality to the participants: being attended to or treated puts the protagonist at the center stage, reversing the standard performance dynamics.
