Confluence AI is a film produced for the Gwangju Biennale in South Korea. Taking its inspiration from the site of the 1980 uprising, Confluence AI explores the power of collective movement and ritualistic dance to deal with inherent tensions present in society. The EightOS Fractal Control System provides live feedback that can be used as a score repurposes surveillance technology for choreographic objectives, decentralizing the moving structure and turning it into a decentralized swarm that operates according to a set of principles, rather than trying to fulfil a form or an objective.
