My most cited scientific paper, this research was published in 2011. In this research, I presented a method for text analysis using a specialized network analysis algorithm.

A basic idea was to apply the methods used in social sciences to identify the most influential individuals and groups in a social network to texts. The words or the concepts inside the text were treated as people, while their co-occurrences in the same context were treated as interactions. This approach allowed to build a social network of words and apply the algorithms used in social science to study any discourse.

This approach lay the groundwork for the text analysis tool InfraNodus, which I created later.
